Family Sentinel is a small, independent Texas company with one job: keeping the people most targeted by email fraud — older adults, and the small organizations that serve them — from losing money and peace of mind to a message that was built to fool them. This page is who we are, why we exist, and the rules we run by.
Fraud aimed at older adults is now a professional industry. A “grandchild in trouble” call arrives with the grandchild’s actual cloned voice. A Medicare email carries the right logo and a link that harvests everything. Meanwhile, the security industry kept building for corporations — sold to IT departments, priced for enterprises, and invisible to the family that actually needed it. Somebody needed to sit on the family’s side of the table. That is the seat we took.
Family Sentinel was built by a practitioner who spends every week analyzing real fraud campaigns — the same discipline used in security operations centers, aimed at the inboxes of parents and grandparents instead of corporations.
We are a small Texas company, and it shows in the right ways: a person answers, decisions take minutes, and nobody is a ticket number. When you call the number on this site, you reach someone who can actually help.
We sell monitoring and honest advice — nothing else. We resell nothing, take no commissions, and earn no referral fees. When we tell you something is already handled well, nothing about our revenue changes.
Everything we offer exists to stop a convincing fake from becoming a loss.
We watch over a loved one’s email for the scams that target older adults — quietly, respectfully, and with the family in the loop. When something dangerous arrives, the right person hears about it in plain English before money moves. How it works →
Churches, schools, nonprofits, and small businesses hold real trust and real money with no security team. Org Guard gives them read-only monitoring of their Google or Microsoft environment and a plain-English read on where they stand. For organizations →
A 55-entry Scam Library, a comparison of every kind of email protection including our own, free guides, and free scam-awareness talks for community groups. A family that reads everything and never pays us a dollar is still a family that got helped — that is the point.
Trust is our entire product, so we make our standards public and specific.
Our Scam Library states, scam by scam, what we detect, partly detect, or do not yet. A company with nothing to hide can afford an unflattering table.
Our monitoring observes; it does not send, delete, or change anything. Our organizational checks are non-invasive and we explain exactly how they stay safe.
We protect people from having their lives read by strangers — so we collect the minimum, retain it briefly, use cookie-free analytics, and publish our methodology and privacy policy in plain English.
